You will Return as a Better and Stronger Person

Luke 22:31–32

Christ looks at Peter, Simon, and tells him that the devil wants to destroy him, but Christ himself has prayed for him. Peter does not grasp exactly what is going on here. We know that later Peter denies Christ and the devil appears to get the victory… But God’s plan is not done yet. Peter repents and comes back to be a stronger and greater man. Peter stands up on the day of Pentecost and preaches and we see 3000 people converted to Christ. Wow, what an in Normas change from denying Christ to preaching for Christ and seeing thousand converted.

It is humbling knowing that the Lord himself prays for us. The devil wants to take us down, but our mediator (I Timothy 2:5), is praying for us. If we will only stand back up after the devil temps, tricks and deceives us, we can be a better person in the service of our Lord. Following does not mean we have to stay down, a child of God can get back up (Proverbs 24:16; Psalms 37:24).
